The Sun and the Earth

In the spring of 2023, the total rehabilitation of the Sun and Earth fountain, located in front of Oslo Central Station (Oslo S), was completed. The project was carried out in collaboration with PA contractor for Oslo municipality, with the aim of preserving and improving this iconic fountain which is an important part of the cityscape.

The rehabilitation included a thorough upgrade of both the water system and the surrounding areas to ensure better functionality and aesthetics. The work included repairing the fountain's structure, updating the lighting and improving the water quality, as well as arranging for a more sustainable and energy-efficient operating system.
The new and improved fountain contributes to a more pleasant urban environment, and provides both residents and visitors with a high-quality visual experience. This project is an important step towards preserving Oslo's cultural heritage and at the same time improving the city's public space.
